And the F-in thing still doesn't work? Last time I installed it, it made a loud continous beeping noise and read the unit might be bad so I sent it back and just got another. This time I put the unit in and got black screen with specs for my graphics card (X300 SE 128MB BIOS P/N)? Is this guy I bought the units from on EBay seeling bogus memory units if that's possible or can my computer handle it? It says it can take 4 MB but will only work with 3. I tried to install my old memory and it even read that with the other 3 units. I have a DDR and this is becoming a pian. Any other suggestions> I tried everything I could.

You need to brush up on your terminology. If you don't know what you are buying, or what the terms like DDR mean, you are setting yourself up for failure.

If you don't know what you are doing (seriously ask yourself this question) -- and if you don't have the time to invest becoming an expert on what's troubling your system -- you need to find someone in town (preferably a friends son/teenager geek) and have them walk you through what's wrong or diagnos it.

Beep noises do not necessarily mean memory problems. You can have those with faulty power supplies or graphic card problems.

2nd -don't buy computer parts on eBay from people who you cannot trust. So you save a couple bucks - that still eliminates a refund and a return -- whereas Best Buy or Circuit City will at least honor their products from defection.

Good luck.
